SoftLOGiX was founded in 1992 and specializes in providing business optimization software based on non-traditional mathematics and soft computing techniques, such as genetic algorithms and neural networks for solving common optimization problems.

Soft computing differs from conventional (hard) computing in that, unlike hard computing, soft computing programs are tolerant of imprecision and uncertainty in the final answer in exchange for the ability to solve more complex real world problems in an acceptable timeframe.
